EFFECTIVE IMPACT: Network 2000’s NEW Mentoring Program:

The Mentoring Program consists of several component pieces

  1. Joint orientation for mentors and mentees (includes opportunity to network with Network 2000 membership)
  2. Four ½ day professional development sessions to educate and build skills for mentees
  3. Participation in social activities with NETWORK 2000
  4. One on one mentoring for each mentee with assigned mentor (supplemented by assistance of NETWORK 2000 membership for particular subjects/needs)

Four ½ Day Professional Development Sessions for Mentees

Note: Each session will be held at a different location, and may include a tour of that business and networking opportunities with executives of that business.

Session 2: Getting Behind the Numbers – Finance for Non-Finance Executives

  1. Basic financial terminology
  2. Reading three basic financial statements
  3. What financial statements tell about an organization
  4. Difference between net income and cash flow What an executive MUST know

Session 3: Executive Skills with Impact

  1. Reliance on others, not just self (effective delegation)
  2. The power of team
  3. Effectively using personal power
  4. Building alliances with peers
  5. Myers Briggs Assessment
  6. Understanding the big picture
  7. View from the executive suite

Session 4: Finding the Right Life Balance for YOU

  1. Why a well rounded life makes a more effective executive
  2. Community service and the workplace
  3. Common workplace stressors and how to reduce them

One on One Mentoring Sessions

  1. Each mentor-mentee team will meet at least one time per month at mutually agreeable times
  2. Other NETWORK 2000 members will be available to assist with specific topics/needs
