NETWORK 2000 DESIGNATES NEW OFFICERS FOR 2007

Mimi Roeder Vaughan Named President

Baltimore— Network 2000, a Maryland not-for-profit organization promoting the advancement of women in professional and executive positions, elected officers for the 2007-2008 term at its annual meeting. Elected to the group's top spot is Mimi Roeder Vaughan, president of Roeder Travel in Cockeysville, Md.

Other elected or re-elected officers serving with Roeder Vaughan are:

  • Eileen Rehrmann, president of Eileen M. Rehrmann and Associates (Baltimore), elected president-elect (Baltimore resident)
  • Bonnie K. Heneson, president of Bonnie Heneson Communications (Owings Mills, Md.), re-elected vice president of Network 2000 (Pikesville, Md., resident)
  • Traci Barnett, CEO of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland (Baltimore), elected treasurer (Middle River, Md., resident)
  • Diane V. D'Aiutolo, a partner at Tydings & Rosenberg, LLC (Baltimore), elected secretary (Roland Park, Md., resident)
  • Linda R. Burton, president of DRW, Inc. (Howard County), becomes past-president (Ellicott City, Md., resident)

Newly elected Network 2000 President Mimi Roeder Vaughan has been a leader in the travel and leisure business since 1973. She is the founder and president of several travel-related companies, including Roeder Travel, Kailua Property, Maryland School of Travel, Falls Road Travel and Roeder Travel Internet School. She also founded and ran Roland Park Travel, which she sold in 1992.

In addition to Network 2000, Roeder currently serves on the boards of Roland Park Country School, Mercy Women's Board and Morgan State University, and sits on the Greater Baltimore Committee's advisory board. Her copious honors and awards include the Baltimore Business Journal's Top Minority Business Owner and Top Woman Business Owner, The Daily Record's Circle of Excellence, American Airlines' Sabre Star Award, and Amtrak's Gold Spike. She lives in Ruxton, Md.
