NETWORK 2000 RECRUITING MID-CAREER WOMEN FOR MENTORING PROGRAM
Baltimore— Network 2000, Inc., a Maryland nonprofit promoting the advancement of women in professional and executive positions, is accepting applications from mid-career businesswomen and entrepreneurs who want to attain higher positions in their careers to be mentees in its new mentoring program. The program, called Effective Impact, provides protégés with the opportunity to work one-on-one with Network 2000 members, women who have achieved career and entrepreneurial success in business, government, law and other professions.
Program features include:
Joint orientation for mentors and mentees, providing a first opportunity to interact with Network 2000 members;
Four half-day professional development sessions to educate and build skills for mentees;
Monthly one-on-one meetings for each mentee with an assigned mentor;
Participation in social activities with Network 2000.
The first class of Effective Impact will begin in May 2008.
The application deadline for the 2008 mentoring program is Dec. 31, 2007. Prospective protégés can learn more about the program and apply at www.network2000md.org.
Network 2000, Inc, is a statewide organization of business and professional women and men, that initiates, supports and engages in educational programs and activities to prepare and promote women to achieve their full professional potential. Members serve as role models to women of all age groups. The organization also seeks to place women on corporate and non-profit boards and educate the public on the benefits of having women in decision-making positions.
