Network 2000 Names New President, Officers
BALTIMORE—Network 2000, an organization promoting the advancement of women in the corporate world, elected Karen Weatherholtz president for the 2010-11 year.
Weatherholtz has had a 35-year business and human resources career including serving as senior vice president, Human Relations, for McCormick & Company Inc. She served on McCormick’s Management Committee and was a member of its board of directors for 15 years. After 30 years with McCormick, Weatherholtz retired in 2007 and, since then, has provided leadership coaching and consulting to key leaders within client organizations. She also has provided human resources consulting to Stella Maris Inc. and is currently serving as the organization’s top human resources executive.
Weatherholtz served as a director of GBMC Healthcare Inc. for 12 years and currently serves on the board of directors of The Chimes.
Since 2000, Weatherholtz has been named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record. In addition to being recognized as a Distinguished Alumna by Mercy High School in Baltimore, she received a Business Leader Award from the Maryland YWCA and was selected as a Distinguished Woman by the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
Weatherholtz earned an MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore where she graduated magna cum laude. She graduated cum laude from Washington College in Chestertown, Md., and lives in Baldwin, Md.

- Vice President Diane D’Aiutolo, partner at Tydings and Rosenberg, a law firm in Baltimore. She lives in Baltimore.
- Secretary Elise Morris, partner at Whiteford Taylor and Preston, a law firm in Baltimore. She lives in Hunt Valley, Md.
- Treasurer Harriet Cooperman, partner at Saul Ewing, a law firm in Baltimore. She lives in Annapolis, Md.
Network 2000 (www.network2000md.org) is a statewide not-for-profit organization in Maryland composed of professional women and men. The organization initiates, supports and engages in activities to prepare and promote women to achieve their full professional potential. Network 2000 seeks to place women on corporate and not-for-profit boards and educates the public on the benefits of having women in decision-making positions. Members serve as role models and mentors to women seeking to advance their career.
